Compatibility
An overview of player support for SFE features
Currently, we are working on full support for all SFE features on a reference implementation, however good progress has been made.
SpessaSynth
SpessaSynth currently has partial compatibility with some SFE features. For example, it can read LSB banks in the SFE format, and also has experimental support for 64-bit chunks, which is a foundational feature for SFE.
Reference implementation
A reference implementation based on SpessaSynth is coming soon. Currently, it includes limited read support for the ISFe sub-chunk, UTF-8 support for text fields, and all other SFE features that are supported by SpessaSynth.
Interested in implementing SFE support?
Feel free to take a look at the SFE 4.0 specification and add support to your own program! Please contact us about your project so we can add it to this page!
